Specialist endometriosis care in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has named programs at both ends of the state. In Pittsburgh, UPMC lists its Center for Endometriosis and Chronic Pelvic Pain at 300 Halket Street in Oakland, next to UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. UPMC also runs a UPMC Magee-Womens Endometriosis Center and a UPMC Magee-Womens Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery practice in Mechanicsburg, about 10 miles from Harrisburg. In central Pennsylvania, Penn State Health publishes an Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery page describing gynecologic surgeons who treat endometriosis and fibroids with laparoscopy and robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery done through a few small incisions. Penn Medicine's minimally invasive gynecologic surgery page loads only through scripts our checker cannot read, so Philadelphia's academic program is not cited here.

Allentown is about 50 miles from Philadelphia in a straight line and Scranton about 100; Erie is about 120 miles from Pittsburgh; State College is about 70 miles from Hershey; and Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are about 260 miles apart.

Pennsylvania adopted the Affordable Care Act Medicaid expansion in 2015, so adults with incomes up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level can qualify for coverage. America's Health Rankings' 2026 report records 1.0 percent of Pennsylvania women aged 15 to 44 living in a county with no obstetric hospital, birth center or obstetric clinician. The Pennsylvania Department of Health is the state's public health agency; we could not verify a dedicated women's health page.
