Specialist endometriosis care in Connecticut

Connecticut is compact, and its academic centers sit close together: Hartford is about 30 air miles from New Haven and about 10 from UConn Health in Farmington. Three Connecticut sites appear on the AAGL Complex Benign Gynecology Fellowship listing: University of Connecticut Health, Yale New Haven Health at Bridgeport Hospital, and Danbury Hospital. Bridgeport is itself about 50 air miles from New York City, which is why patients in the southwest corner weigh Manhattan against in-state options.

Travel is a smaller barrier here than in most of the country. The March of Dimes 2023 state report classified 100 percent of Connecticut counties as full access, the only designation in the state; women traveled 6.6 miles on average to the nearest birthing hospital, 1.8 percent had none within 30 minutes, and no one lived more than 60 minutes from one. Those are maternity measures, but they reflect how dense hospital-based gynecology is across the state.

Connecticut adopted Medicaid expansion, per KFF's October 2026 status table. The Connecticut Department of Public Health site is the state contact point; no separate women's health page was verified.
