Specialist endometriosis care in Minnesota
Mayo Clinic in Rochester runs a Complex Benign Gynecology Fellowship whose page describes training that ranges from office hysteroscopy to complex endometriosis and retroperitoneal dissection, with expertise in fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis and chronic pelvic pain. Mayo Clinic Rochester also appears on the AAGL's list of participating fellowship sites. In the Twin Cities, M Health Fairview lists endometriosis care at its Clinics and Surgery Center and Women's Clinic in Minneapolis and at clinics in Edina and Maple Grove. The University of Minnesota Medical School is the state's public medical school.
Northern Minnesota is far from both centers. Rochester is about 80 air miles from Minneapolis. Duluth is about 140 air miles from Minneapolis, so for the northeast of the state specialist surgery means a trip to the Twin Cities or Rochester.
Minnesota adopted the Affordable Care Act's Medicaid expansion, according to KFF. The Minnesota Department of Health publishes a women and infants health page.
