Specialist endometriosis care in Montana
Montana has no medical school of its own. Montana State University in Bozeman hosts the state's share of the WWAMI regional medical education program, through which Montana students train with the University of Washington. For endometriosis surgery inside the state, Bozeman Health announced in March 2024 that its Women's Specialists clinic had added advanced endometriosis surgery, including for advanced disease, so that patients would not have to leave the state for it.
Bozeman is about 120 air miles from Billings and about 160 from Missoula, and Billings and Missoula are themselves about 270 air miles apart, so even in-state specialist care means a long drive from the other large cities. No Montana hospital appears on the AAGL's list of fellowship sites in complex benign gynecology.
