Specialist endometriosis care in Oregon
Oregon's specialist care clusters in Portland. The OHSU Center for Women's Health publishes an endometriosis page that says its care team will develop a personalized plan aimed at helping control symptoms and address pain, with surgeons who offer advanced minimally invasive surgery options. Its gynecology service says the team includes an expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery who treats pelvic pain, and the center says it is designated a National Center of Excellence in Women's Health by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Across the city, Legacy Health runs a two-year Complex Benign Gynecology fellowship in advanced laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and robotic surgery with a specific focus on pelvic pain and endometriosis; the program is based at Legacy in partnership with OHSU, with fellows rotating at Legacy Good Samaritan, Legacy Meridian Park and OHSU.
Salem is about 40 miles from Portland in a straight line and Eugene about 100, but Bend is about 120, Medford about 220 and Klamath Falls about 230, so a Portland consult is a long trip from central and southern Oregon.
Oregon adopted the Affordable Care Act Medicaid expansion in 2014, so adults with incomes up to 138 percent of the federal poverty level can qualify for coverage. America's Health Rankings' 2026 report records 0.4 percent of Oregon women aged 15 to 44 living in a county with no obstetric hospital, birth center or obstetric clinician. The Oregon Health Authority's Healthy People and Families section publishes the state's maternal and women's health resources.
