Specialist endometriosis care in Colorado

Colorado's academic medicine is concentrated on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, east of Denver, which houses the state's public medical school. No Colorado site appears on the AAGL Complex Benign Gynecology Fellowship listing, and no named endometriosis or minimally invasive gynecologic surgery program could be confirmed on the university's own obstetrics and gynecology pages, so none is listed here.

The Front Range holds most of the population and most of the specialists: Colorado Springs is about 60 air miles from Aurora and Pueblo about 100, while Grand Junction on the Western Slope is about 200. The March of Dimes 2023 state report classified 37.5 percent of Colorado counties as maternity care deserts. Statewide only 6.4 percent of women had no birthing hospital within 30 minutes, but in rural areas that share was 49.1 percent, and women in desert counties traveled 7.2 times farther than women in full-access counties.

Colorado adopted Medicaid expansion, per KFF's October 2026 status table. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment keeps a women's health page listing state programs.
